Work with the Institute to develop forums that will bring together our experienced professionals and the young accountants for mentorship, coaching and networking.
Progress so Far
Mentorship forums onboarded at Branches, sessions held in various Universities and College of Fellows onboarded in offering mentorship and coaching.
Member value enhanced through onboarding of Brighter Monday to offer coaching, CV writing and job placement opportunities.

Advocacy: deliberately caucus with the national leaders in key offices to positively influence decisions at the political, economic and social levels.
Be at the forefront in contributing towards various legislative policies that will build professionalism and governance for better economic growth while strategically positioning the accountancy profession.
Underpin the relationship between ICPAK and industry players both in Public and Private Sector for influence in national policy setting.
Progress so far
Stakeholder engagements held with National, County government, private sector leaders, business community and the public. Enhanced County government engagements by launching the County Government’s Public Audit Review Reports and continued our essential partnerships with Counties such as Vihiga, Bomet and Murang’a.
ICPAK has continued to be at the forefront of contributing towards the legislative framework by tabling submissions in Parliament on proposed legislations.
Enhanced collaboration between ICPAK and industry players case of Sustainability Reporting Adhoc Committee.

Actively inspire and call for members public participation towards key ICPAK strategic initiatives and decisions that impact members.
Focus on continuous relevant communication and stakeholder engagement.
Being transparent and accountable when handling all the affairs of the Institute to uphold our image and values as ICPAK.

Sustainability of the Institute through inclusive financial growth while balancing provision of member services value.
Launch of ICPAK’s 5 year strategy with a focus on accountancy regulation, member value, public interest and sustainability.
Launch of the Sustainability Roadmap and initiated CPD programs to effectively equip our members with tools to measure and report on sustainability metrics.

Focus on efficient and effective delivery of member services while leveraging on technology through consistent communication by the Secretariat.
Leverage on technology to offer practicing members mandatory trainings at affordable rates to reduce the cost of compliance.
Review ICPAK policies to ensure relevant trainings offered by other professional associations and respective employers are adequately recognised and awarded sufficient CPDs.
Reinforce implementation of the ICPAK MLWD[1] policy to ensure our members living with disabilities are accommodated in the services provided.
Highlight and promote impactful value-added services to the members
Continue liaising with both National and County governments to enhance professionalism by providing specific employment opportunities to ICPAK members.
Progress so Far
Adoption of digital transformation by implementing new systems – offering of CPD events, UDIN and enhancement of communication channels to our members.
Mandatory CPD events offered as both physical and virtual events. Physical events offered as national events and at the Branch level enabling affordability and value. Virtual events offered at reasonable fees enabling compliance.
Launch of the “Hasibu Auditorium” to increase the number and offer affordability of CPD events being held in Nairobi. In addition to increasing networking opportunities to our members with support of our Fellows.
Based on the CPD policies, CPD hours awarded up to 10hrs for trainings received from other professional associations and inhouse employer trainings.
Implementation of the ICPAK MLWD policy by awarding them 25% discount on all ICPAK events.
Enhancement of the member welfare through revamped benevolent fund and improved member value services such as gym memberships, discounts from collaborations with Strathmore & KCA, Brighter Monday partnership, Hotel accommodation discounts and mutual recognition agreements with other countries.
Increased opportunities for our members serving in the various National and County governments Committees, advocating for ringfencing of specific roles such as Finance Chief Officers, Director Finance and Internal Audit for our members.
